Winter New Yorker Cover
This was for my Editorial Illustration course, and the goal was to make a New Yorker magazine cover for the winter season that embodies the spirit of New York without any overused imagery like the Empire State Building or the Statue of Liberty. After much discussion over my ideas with classmates, I went with the idea of different fake Santas begging for money since everyone thought it was hilarious. This project also had a very short turnaround so I had to work pretty fast, but in the end I really love how it turned out and I like the blur I used to separate the foreground from the background.
